Midwestern misfit who wouldn't know how to handle it any other way. And yes, that's my real name.

• I am a total introvert, but I have a lot of extrovert tendencies...makes no sense whatsoever, I know, but it does explain a lot of my behavior.

• I don't trust my own instincts often enough.

• I smile a lot.

• I don't seem to have the ability to hide my feelings.

• A good kiss can make me forgive just about anything.

• I think I don't need approval, and then I find myself seeking it.

• I love to laugh.

• I know my limitations, but rarely apply that knowledge.

• I tend to find things out the hard way.

• Most of the time, I don't know what to say.

The longer, sappier version
Once upon a time there was a boy who didn't know where he came from. He had a family who cared for him and a keen sense of what excited him and what scared him. Sometimes, these were the same thing.

He lived in a very small town, but that didn't bother him because he really lived in a world of his own creation, in a place where he felt safe and could feed his many obsessions. He didn't think he was all that different, but outside of his bubble, people had other ideas.

And so he lived in that way for 20 years, until he was ready to seek his fortune in a bigger place, doing something he enjoyed, maybe finding some new friends, some new ways to express himself. If he was lucky, maybe even love.

And that he did. Love came first, and continues to last and grow. Friends came too. And he's lucky enough to do something that he enjoys and allows him to feed those obsessions that continued to multiply.

So how does balance exist in a world where Linda Evangelista, Jean Paul Gaultier, comic books, piles of magazines, music videos, anime DVDs, modern and vintage fashion, retro style and graphic design are all thrown at each other?

He'll let you know when he figures that out.

In the meantime, this journal keeps some of his days from disappearing, like so much invisible ink. And that is something that really excites, and scares him.

He'd also like you to know that there's more to him, "mutchmore," (groan, eyeroll) than you'll ever see revealed on a website.

Okay then...that's it.
